Founders, First Poet's Church of the Latter Day Egyptian Revisionists

Prophet Sun Ra
to Marvin X:

"Do not teach freedom. Teach
discipline--they were born free, see how wild and free they act! Teach discipline.

Do the right thing. The Creator got the universe fixed: if you don't do the right thing you won't be able to go backward or
forward, just stuck on stupid!

The people don't want the truth, they want the low down dirty truth!

Truth is your name is XMarvinX! Watch them names. Your friend Charles Duplechain, see, he got that double chain on his name. He can't go nowhere with that double chain. He got to get that chain off his name.

We the Latter Day Egyptian Revisionists. When we were in Egypt, they told us this is your land, not our land. This land belongs to you."

How Sun Ra's Spirit Came to Me

On the day of his transition to the ancestors, a Sunday, as I was leaving church with my cousin Tanya in Fresno, California, out of the blue she said, "Marvin, didn't you have something to do with Sun Ra?" I said yes Tanny, you know I brought him down to Fresno. He met my mother and then I brought him to your house, remember? Yes, Sunny's spirit traveled from Birmingham, Alabama to Fresno to let me know he'd departed for outer space, Space is the Place!
